This is the MIA, the Missing Item Archive, a directory of all missing items and item glitches/errors currently known in Neopia. Feel free to browse around to gain some information about those weird things happening to you around the site.

Terminology
The following abbreviations, definitions and terminology will be used in this directory. These terms are commonly used in the item community on neopets.

I'm Announced, but Unobtainable!

Obtainable and Unobtainable Obtainable: The item can be found on Neopets. You can obtain it through regular means such as neopian shops, Shop Wizard or Trading Post, or in case of a non-tradable item you may be able to get it as a plot prize, for example. Unobtainable: You cannot get this item through any means. It is possible some people own this item, because they have obtained it through a glitch or error. It is not possible to get this item at the moment, even though it may have been posted on the news. Released/Announced and Unreleased/Unannounced Released/Announced: A released or announced item was announced in the Neopets news. Unreleased/Unannounced: An unreleased or unannounced item wasn't announced in the Neopets news. Searchable and Unsearchable Searchable: You are able to look this item up with the Shop Wizard, who will recognise your search query as being an actual item. Sometimes TNT forgets to activate the items, so they are not obtainable through regular means such as neopian shops or receivable from events/plots. Unsearchable: The Shop Wizard will not recognize your search query as being an actual item. This happens when the item has not been activated or when you don't know the proper name of the item.

How to Browse
There are various ways to browse this database, as there are a lot of different categories of glitches, errors and mistakes. Below is an overview of the different the different ways you can find what you're looking for.

Searching by Date With this selection, you can search the database by date. The items are categorised by year, unknown (when an item may/should have been in the Neopets News but we do not know the date) and unannounced (when an item was never in the Neopets News). Searching by MIA Category There are many different types of item glitches, errors and mistakes, so they have been categorised.

Active: Duplicate item: These items are are currently active and obtainable on Neopets, but they have a practically identical clone (either image or item name, or both) already in the game. Active: Glitched: These items are are currently active and obtainable on Neopets, but they are glitched in some way (e.g. do not show up in your closet/neohome, or mess up your customisation). Active: Wrong information: These items are are currently active and obtainable on Neopets, but parts of the information are incorrect (usually the item name or description has a typo in it). Searchable: MIA: These items can be searched in the Shop Wizard or Super Shop Wizard, so they are active in the database, but cannot currently be obtained through any means. They were, however, supposed to be obtainable in the game. Searchable: Unannounced: These items can be searched in the Shop Wizard or Super Shop Wizard, so they are active in the database, but cannot currently be obtained through any means. They were never announced in the news, so there is little chance they will actually become real items. Unsearchable: MIA: These items we have only found images for, but no names. They were, however, supposed to be obtainable in the game as they were announced in the news. Unsearchable: Unannounced: These items we have only found images for, but no names. They were also never announced in the news, so there is little chance they will actually become real items.

Searching for Fixed items This section displays all items that have been fixed since this archive was created (the archive started as a petpage long before it came on SunnyNeo). We believe some were fixed because of this archive. Displaying the Results The results can be displayed in two orders: By date, or by name. The handy buttons at the bottom of your selection can switch the listing between the two.

	Name: Dashing Capn Threelegs Cape Date: Unknown MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This cape was given out by a trick-or-treat bag during the Haunted Faire in 2010, but when TNT found out, they deleted almost all copies of them, leaving a select random few. Why this happened this way, nobody knows, and the future for those still left on the site is uncertain. The Elegant Princess Amira Cape was added to the Hidden Tower on 8-7-2011, but the others (including this one) are still mysteriously lost.
	Name: Deluxe Red Ruki Plushie Date: July 4th, 2005 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: Because a "Red Ruki Plushie" (with a different image) already existed, this plushie was skipped, so it is unreleased and unobtainable.
	Name: Disco Uni Multi-Coloured Custard Date: Unknown MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This rare item code item was supposed to be a part of a Real Life Merchandise prize pool. The exact series is unknown, and it was most likely a series that never made it to the shelves.
	Name: Doglefox Morphing Potion Date: September 3rd, 2004 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: After having been released in the news, TNT seems to have decided against continuing the project of adding Morphing Potions for all petpets.
	Name: Dr. Flexo Alt Name: The Marvellous Stretchy Chia Date: February 28th, 2003 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This Collectable Card was released, but sadly received the rarity of 101 -- Without ever being given away anywhere, this card is unfindable. Recently, its name was changed to Dr. Flexo.
	Name: Dulaberry Date: July 30th, 2004 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This should be pickable in Pick-Your-Own, but it's not.
	Name: Dung Berry Date: August 10th, 2006 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This should be pickable in Pick-Your-Own, but it's not.
	Name: Elderly Apple Date: Unknown MIA Category: Searchable: MIA NT Editorial: #11108 - #11795 Author Notes: This item was supposed to be activated during Halloween, when Bart's Apple Bobbing Tank was updated, but it wasn't.

	Name: Fancy Lost Desert Bed Date: Unknown MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This were supposed to be a part of the rarity 101 Lost Desert Play Set series rare item code prize pool, of which most were properly activated, but this was forgotten.

	Name: Fish Negg Stew Date: May 11th, 2004 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This super rare item was supposed to be r100, but after 7 years, it has not been sighted so far. Either something is wrong, or it refuses to restock/be given out by the Wheel of Extravagance.
	Name: Flotato Gloves Date: Unknown MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: Three of these were given out, of which two on frozen accounts and one on an inactive account. They were given out through the Gadgadspuzzle event.
	Name: Flower Shaped Sand Date: May 31st, 2004 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA NT Editorial: #10807 - #10955 Author Notes: This bottle of sand was supposed to be obtainable from a new Cooking Pot recipe, but only two of the Curly version and one of the Flower version ever showed up. These recipes are impossibly hard, have been retired or something's wrong with them, in any case. Update August 15th, 2012: The Curly Green and Ornate Rainbow Sands are given out by the newly updated Tombola, but the Flower and Star Shaped Sands are still not obtainable.

	Name: Green Bruce Morphing Potion Date: August 16th, 2001 MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This was supposed to receive a restockable rarity and be obtainable from the Magic shop. However, it accidentally received the rarity of 101 instead and was then only available from Cereal rare item codes. They were announced again on March 21st, 2002, but sadly, nothing changed. Only one of it exists.
	Name: Green Grundo Squeaky Toy Date: Unknown MIA Category: Searchable: MIA Author Notes: This rare item code item was supposed to be a part of the Key Quest series 7 prize pool for the plushie the item represents. It was never added, however, so it is unobtainable.
